<image:title>ABOUT - Meet Ines</image:title>
<image:caption>Our founder Ines, created The Artsphere in the beginning of the UK lockdown in March 2020. As a London-based millennial woman working in the art world she thought it would be beneficial for the art world to do more to connect artists and help society at large. From this, The Artsphere Global was born. With a wonderful team of six woman, The Artsphere Global began its adventure with ‘Art for Now. Art for Good’ and organised it’s first AI Week in June 2021. Ines plans to continue with these projects in 2022. “I want to create a close community of creative people who can share ideas to facilitate a innovative dialogue. This platform is about bringing people together and helping larger communities. It’s about being part of a creative journey where we can all learn from one another through different projects and experiences” Ines Hutchinson - Uzielli Founder of The Artsphere Global</image:caption>

She earned her degree in Studio Arts from San Diego State University, studied art in Escola Massana in Barcelona, and recently earned her degree in Art Psychology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Her ability to portrait different aspects of life, multiple themes, and variety of techniques, have allowed her to work in different collaborations with brands such as Liverpool, Mercedes Benz, Aeropostale, Tommy Hillfiger, Audi, Outlaw, among others. Villarreal is not only interested in creating work for the eye, but also for the benefit of the world. She is known for her campaigns in which she supports different foundations in Mexico such as Cambio de Juego, Comunidad Altruista, and Fundación Integrarte. She has also shown her work world-wide in Art Basel 2016, Art New York 2016, won Second-best Contemporary Latin Artist in the Contemporary Latin Art Show in San Diego, and has had more than 20 art exhibitions around Mexico. She is currently working on new pieces to show in Cadena Gallery, New York and will be working on a new collection June 2019 during Parsons residency. She considers herself “an artist on the rise”, with much more to learn, and techniques and mediums to experiment with. Her art questions themes such as life and death, but considers her work to be modern, joyful and colorful such as her personality. Her art is avant-garde, and flows naturally with the new ideas that arise in the world.</image:caption>

<image:title>Prince Lauder - Prince Láuder</image:title>
<image:caption>Mexico City based visual artist Prince Láuder experiments with different techniques such as painting, photography and collage, always looking for the relationship between them. With studies in philosophy and aesthetics from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he manages to establish a dialogue between beauty and art, investigating portraiture as the maximum exponent of beauty. After numerous series of collages and portraits inspired by fashion, music and cinema, he manages to position his work worldwide with his characteristic style. The figurative, the shapes and the color have been a constant in his work, leading his work to explore the cumulative concept of collage and turn it into an ordered image. He has exhibited in different countries and has collaborated with large international firms such as Chanel, Givenchy, H&M, Apple, Netflix and many more. He has also been awarded as one of the ‘100 best collage artists in the world’, published in the book “Making a Splash” in Hong Kong.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Carri Fernanda is an emerging Mexican painter, sculptor, and ceramicist based in Mexico City. She cites influence by artists like Louise Bourgeois, drawing inspiration from confessional art: Combining its visual cleanliness with phrases of an intentional revelation of the private self. Her work is an intimate display exploring themes such as family, self-love, and fear. ‘I am interested in the atmosphere and the lightness of the painting. I have always used language in my works, but for these pieces I try to translate certain conversations through abstraction, and explore the power paint and color have over the human psyche. Every movement and every colour tells you something - you just have to listen.’</image:caption>

<image:title>AI Week Portfolio - OBVIOUS</image:title>
<image:caption>OBVIOUS is a collective of friends, artists, and researchers, driven by a common sensibility to questions surrounding the increasing advent of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. They are engaged in exploring the interface between art and artificial intelligence, and their method goes by the acronym GAN, which stands for ‘generative adversarial network’. In October 2018 at Christies New York , the group was behind the sale of the first AI artwork to go through a major auction house. Their AI artwork titled ‘Edmond Belamy,’ sold for $432,400, nearly 45 times its high estimate, and created a frenzy surrounding AI’s role in the art world.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Basel-based Langschied concentrates his artistic practice on the field of human hopes and dreams and investigates how they manifest themselves in the form of machines and technologies. In this image, Langschied is presenting the performance character Till Tumaroh. Who is Till Tumaroh? A fictive character who is used for live performances, videos and photography. “He seems to have a human form, but some scientist believe that he might be an artificial intelligence that will create itself out of fragments of the Deep Web in a near future… we cannot state for sure if Tumaroh its human, android or solely an intelligent or seemingly intelligent software” Excerpt from Memories of Tumaroh, 2018 Tumaroh will be part of a performance for a show in Vienna and will also host a palmistry workshop for the Vienna Art Week in November. The show at Kunstraum Niederösterreich: https://www.kunstraum.net/en/Exhibitions/102-stormyweather?set_language=en . After the show, Till Tumaroh will travel to Paris and perform at the Centre Culture Suisse.</image:caption>

<image:title>AI Week Portfolio - CIMON: What is CIMON? CIMON references a real robot who was sent to the ISS in 2018. The application is programmed to scan the room and place the animation of a flying robot called CIMON life into the exhibition space. CIMON reflects the upon humans and their relationship to outer space and the technology used to get to space. These issues make us reflect on capitalism and climate change, specifically the rise of CO2 levels in the atmosphere.</image:title>

But the things I like the most are the ones with a feeling of prophecy, no matter how old or new. My favourite works of art or theory - or both, as they so often ca be - are the ones that feel like they speak to now, whenever now might be, because they speak to that paradoxical constant that everything is always about to change”</image:caption>

<image:title>AI Week Portfolio - Carousel “Going through the motions”</image:title>
<image:caption>During lockdown we were all confined to the spaces of our home which made us reflect on our routine and everyday life. Larissa wanted to convey that routine can sometimes be like a cage. She thought of music boxes which work with a pattern and structure similar to the concept of routine. She therefore made a landscape composed of many music boxes set in a surreal landscape with birds and cages. For Larissa the perception of a music box related to how she felt during lockdown. However, this experience was different for all of us. Her work will make you question and reflect on what lockdown meant for each of us. Will we go back to our old habits or not?</image:caption>

<image:title>AI Week Portfolio - Ai-Da</image:title>
<image:caption>Ai-Da is the world’s first ultra-realistic AI artist robot. She has reached international fame through her ground-breaking first show at the University of Oxford in the summer 2019. She was described by New York Times as “a new voice to the art world”, and spent the rest of the year traveling internationally. “She is the latest AI innovation to blur the boundary between machine and artist: a vision future suddenly becoming part of our present” Times Magazine, 2019 Ai-Da is a humanoid robot, with Artificially Intelligent capabilities. Ai-Da can draw and is a performance artist. As a machine her artist persona is the artwork alongside with her drawings, performance art, painting and sculptures. In the time of online avatars, AI chatbots, Alexa and Siri, Ai-Da as a robotic artist is acutely relevant. Neither human or conscious, she is an artist robot designed to get us thinking about who we are, what we might become, and what we might like (or not like) that to be. She is not alive, but she is an entity that we relate and respond to. She helps us question the nature of art, creativity, and consciousness.</image:caption>

<image:caption>“I hope that art will continue to comment and engage with technological developments, and the ethics of their use. For instance, my recent collaboration with The Tate Exchange and a Vibe Called Tech explored the role of technology as both a tool of empowerment and oppression, and reassessed the relationship between technology, race, and creative endeavour. Contemporary art has an important role in helping us reimagine our worlds, and holds the ability to reflect aspects of our lives back to us in new ways. I think the warnings of George Orwell’s ‘1984‘ and Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World‘ are still relevant to us today, and I hope art continues to inspire people to think carefully about our future. As for further robot artists, I will be intrigued to see and interact with them!” Ai-Da</image:caption>

<image:title>Amada Cartoons - Amada Cartoons</image:title>
<image:caption>Amada Cartoons is a cartoonist and satirist born in Mexico City and living and working in New York. Sources say the artist spent her formative years in Miami, Florida, though she denies those allegations. Earning a B.L.A. with a focus in sociology and an M.S. in Computer Science, she refers to her collective degrees as 'computing society.’ An artist by day, and computer scientist by night, of her commercial success as a cartoonist, she notes, “I’m just slinging cartoons to support my dream of becoming a software engineer.” Amada's work eschews digital mediums in favor of hand-drawn illustrations which she calls artisanal memes. Working with archival ink, acrylic paint, and art markers on printmaking paper, she largely works in limited runs of 10, 20, and 25. Her witty, circular captions are known for curving around the central image. The work is hand-drawn, never printed, and always in limited edition. Amada has created work for brands like Gucci, The House of Fabergé, TED Conferences, Rolex, Tinder, KIND Bars, Le Relais de l'Entrecôte, Glossier, and Ladurée,though they never asked for it. Her drawings satirize elitist millennial culture, serving as a poignant reminder of social luxuries taken for granted, and making viewers both chuckle and check their privilege. Amada promises her collectors bad prices and denies her art dealer is her mom. You should follow her on Instagram @amada.cartoons for a feed of no fake news, just propaganda.</image:caption>

<image:title>Sylvia Austin - Sylvia Austin</image:title>
<image:caption>Sylvia Austin began her obsession with the visual arts in the darkroom of her childhood home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Following her early interest in photography, she moved to New York to study at the School of Visual Arts. She is known for her soft, intimate, naturalistic style of photography and strong portrayal of women. Her photographs occupy a realm between the past and the present, resulting in imagery that is at once progressive and familiar. Having started her career shooting landscapes before transitioning to fashion, she enjoys bringing nature indoors, once placing turtles on a pair of Givenchy boots. Sylvia has cultivated a distinctive voice shooting editorial stories for publications such as Nicotine, Teeth, and SSENSE and working with musicians Jorja Smith, Alison Sudol, and Empress Of. Her signature style fuses analogue photography with a unique lighting style and captures the character of the subjects she finds. Combing existing natural light with hot lights, Sylvia likes obstructing the light with objects found from the set or different types of fabrics such as chiffon or velvet. Her exploration of color, shapes, and organic sculptures has solidified her unique presence in fashion and landscape photography. Outside the studio, Sylvia likes gardening, trekking, and holistic healing. She currently lives and works in New York City.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sofia is a multi-disciplinary artist based in London. She grew up between Florence and New York - while renaissance art trained her to a sexualised representation of femininity, and third-wave American movement encouraged her to embrace individualism and diversity. As a millennial, her reality is influenced by the post-feminist media age, and her work responds with absolute transparency to modern narrative conventions. Her motivations are sparked by the desire to expose the contradictions of millennial generation, highlighting the problems of online communication. Through a combination of body art and media technology, she investigates the value of the female body in an hyperconnected and commodified society. And using her body as an art object, she seeks conclusions about how identity is converted into economic capital.</image:caption>

Inspired by architecture, interior design and geometry, she maps carefully considered mathematical systems and orders to form a framework for the production of her paintings. With modernist ideas at the forefront of her work, she has created her own innovative painting tools which pour and manipulate paint on tilting wooden structures. She has won numerous awards including The Richard Seager Annual Arts Award 2019, The London Festival of Architecture 2019 City Benches Competition and the Broomhill National Sculpture Prize 2018. <image:caption>Alexandra Grounds (b. 1998) is an American oil painter from Arizona, currently studying at Columbia University and specializing in large scale portraiture. Her portraits, often depicting classic iconic females and peers, aim to rework the patriarchy towards equality and female self-representation. As a young woman in our social and political landscape, the discussion of objectification, over-sexualization and inequality has driven some of her most well-known pieces. Grounds’ painting is her form of resistance, of activism, of empowerment - while embracing her own female sexuality. The artist currently has work displayed at the World Trade Center, with additional exhibitions in multiple galleries nationally.</image:caption>

<image:caption>On 1 October 2020, we launched our second initiative, Art for Atzin, showcasing emerging Mexican artists to raise money and awareness for Atzin, a Mexican non-profit that assists rural indigenous women in the village of Tlamacazapa, Guerrero, Mexico. Works by Prince Láuder, Vero Villarreal Sada, Carri Fernanda, and Alana Burns among others are available for purchase on The Artsphere’s Instagram, with sales being made through our website and Instagram DM.</image:caption>

<image:title>Art for Atzin - Why Atzin?</image:title>
<image:caption>The idea to support Atzin sprung from the continuing and overlooked effects of COVID-19 on impoverished communities in developing countries. Atzin supports the Nahua villagers of Tlamacazapa, where many children are malnourished and most villagers earn their living by weaving palm baskets. Laboratory studies reveal the community suffers from arsenic and lead contamination in their water and soil, resulting in cases of toxic synergy poisoning in civilians. Mexico’s coronavirus cases are also increasing daily and there are no signs of a downward curve. The women and families of Tlamacazapa depend on tourists to buy these baskets for income. However, with no tourism and poor education, household food reserves are now exhausted and food prices have soared, leaving these families extremely vulnerable.</image:caption>
